Best Spots for Taking Great Photos in Stockton

Despite being a relatively small and quiet town in Northeast England, Stockton is definitely a place that you should take your camera too if you are ever going to visit. Known as Stockton-on-Tees, but referred to locally as simply Stockton, there are some great natural scenes that can be captured beautifully on film in this quiet town.


Billingham Beck Valley Country Park and Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park

When it comes to natural scenes, you can’t really go wrong with visiting the Billingham Beck Valley Country Park or the Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park. If you are looking for amazing scenic views of the countryside, Billingham Beck Valley is perfect for picture taking. You will find great photo ops at a variety of untouched and gorgeous marshlands, ponds and meadows. The area is very picturesque. Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park is also a great place to go if you are interested in taking pictures of plants, trees, wildflowers and things of that nature. You will also find plenty of animals to photograph in Billingham Beck Valleyas well, which is something that attracts a lot of people to this area.

Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park is a very popular place for family outings. You’ll see many tourists and locals picnicking there when the weather is nice. There are also a large amount of meadows filled with wildflowers, ponds, lakes and wetlands to photograph here. If you like hiking or trail walking and taking pictures of the scenes as you pass them, Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park has a fantastic sculpture trail to check out as well that goes through lovely grasslands and over two small hills.

Butterfly World and the Infinity Bridge

Butterfly World features an amazing assortment of exotic butterflies that are perfect for photographing. It’s the closest you’ll get to seeing insects in England that you would usually only be able to see in a tropical rain forest. The Infinity Bridge is the most recognizable symbol of Stockton, perfect for photographing in the night and perhaps printing the photo to canvas and hanging on your living room wall.
